Dolphins run an all-inclusive squad for JC Dobb Final.

With a good availability of squad members at the JC Dobb final at Hucknall Leisure Centre Dolphins could operate an all-inclusive selection system. This gave many novice swimmers a taste of full gala life. This gala is aimed at focusing swimmers to use correct techniques rather than just fastest times.

First places on the night going to Ben Staniforth 10U 25M Freestyle, Mason Sims Open 50M Freestyle and Katie Hill 10U 25M Butterfly. Unfortunately, accompanied with a 5 point deduction for an over standard speeding ticket!

With no runner up spots on the night third places went to, Tyler Dennis 10U 25M Backstroke, Jacee Fells 10U 25M Freestyle, Felix Bodill 12U 50M Butterfly and Mason Sims 50M Open Butterfly.

Third place relay teams were 8/9 25M Breaststroke Relay Luke Chambers, Sasha York, Joel Gospel and Amy Heath, 14/U 4×25 Medley Relay Luke Hill, Lauren Daft, Curtis Flint and Freya Sims. 10/U 4×25 Medley Relay Josh Kemp, Katie Hill, Ben Staniforth and Jacee Fells.

A spokesperson for the club said: ‘On the night there were 48 races totalling 102 swims that showcased the great technical abilities of the novice swimmers coming through. This is a reflection on the improved coaching levels of the club and a great way to bring the season to a close.’
