Dolphins didn’t hide in the Major Oak

Hucknall and Linby Dolphins swimmers Lynden Johnson and Katie Hill represented the club at this weekend’s Major Oak Meet in Mansfield where they mixed it with the best in county from over twenty other clubs.

Lynden getting a third place medal and county qualifying time in the 14-year-old 100M Breaststroke on Saturday. Bettered on Sunday with his second place in the 100M Butterfly and a personal best in the 100M Freestyle.

Katie won a 4th place medal in the 10-year-old 100M Breaststroke and two further 6th place medals in the 50M Butterfly and Backstroke, followed by a personal best in the Freestyle, narrowly missing out on another medal with 7th place overall. Making it 4 county qualifying times during the meet.

The successful weekend now means that both swimmers are looking forward to competing in next year’s County Championships at Harvey Hadden.
