Last Saturday at Hucknall Leisure Centre Dolphins, hosted the first round of the Spring Gala 2018.
In front of a packed house, there were six firsts, three runners up places and five thirds, along with a superb 17 personal bests.
First places on the night came in the 12U 50m fly Katie Hill, 50m Freestyle Open Mason Sims, 14U 50m Fly Lynden Johnson, 10U 25m Breaststroke Ellie Norris, 10U 25m Breaststroke and Fly Luke Chambers.
With many close finishes the individual runner up spots were a plenty for Dolphins in the 14U 50m Backstroke Luke Hill, 10U 25m /Backstroke Ellie Norris. Final runners up place went to Mixed Relay team 8/9 4x25m Breaststroke to Sasha York, Matthew Horton, Sophie Pritchard and Joel Gospel.
Five third places in the 12U 50m Breaststroke Brianna Brown, 50m Fly Open Mason Sims.
Relay thirds went to 8/9 mixed medley Sasha Y, Sophie, Joel, Matthew, girls 14U Freestyle, Lauren Daft, Katie, Lucy, Brianna and finally boys 14U Freestyle Felix Bodill, Luke H, Curtis Flint, Lynden.
Personal bests were a plenty on the night going to Lauren, Luke H, Brianna, Ben Staniforth, Ellie, Ella Staniforth, Katie, Lynden, Curtis, Mason, Tyler Dennis, Hayley Goodwin and Lucy Fitzpatrick.
The remainder of the points won by Megan Flint, Sam Ellison, Gary Johnson and Thomas Hallam.
The whole team finishing the night with a well-earned 4th place in the cannon.
A spokesperson for the club said “It was a great opening gala of the Spring round, with the whole squad taking part. The atmosphere was fantastic, and we would like to thank everyone who helped Dolphins host the gala, parents, officials and particularly those officials from other clubs. Without such support from everyone, galas would be impossible to host.
