This year we will be taking part in the Byron Festival and staging a sponsored swim on 10th July during our two sessions 7-8 and 8-9 pm.
This year’s aim is to swim the equivalent of twice round the lake at Newstead Abbey. Which is approximately 2 miles or 120 lengths of our pool! But most importantly it is to have fun, and if you only do a mile or less, I am sure it still a lot further than mum or dad can do!
We will be splitting the funds raised between two Hucknall charities:
1) Hope Lea is a registered charity which aims to improve the quality of life for people with a learning disability living in or originating from Hucknall.
2) Engage Food Bank – Who provide food parcels to people in need in and around Hucknall, based in the Under One Roof Building.
Caring is sharing at Dolphins so let’s have a fantastic endurance swim that night and raise lots of money for charities that are close to home. Forms and further information from the desk as usual, and if you can help by counting the lengths as your children swim please do so. 👩💼
Please also note that all donations will be collected in by the end of July and paid over to the charities the first week of August.
