The Dolphins open squad came home with 11 medals and a trophy form their recent pilgrimage to the Queens Leisure Centre in Derby.
It was an enjoyable, busy and successful first run out of the year at the Long Eaton SC open meet.
Katie Hill won the first place trophy in the 11 year old 50M freestyle after qualifying for the final with the fastest time out of the 25 entrants, other races being heat declared Katie went on to win another 3 Gold medals, 100M Butterfly 100M Breaststroke, and 200M Freestyle.
Isaac Brewster in his first open meet impressing by winning a bronze medal in the 9-year-old 50M Breaststroke and posting personal bests in the 50M Back and Freestyle.
Lynden Johnson won a 4th place in the Open 100M Breaststroke and Butterfly, 5th place 100M free and back with a 6th place in the 50M Freestyle.
Joel Gospel winning 4th place medal in the in the 10-year-old 100M Breaststroke and 6th place in the 50M Freestyle final.
14-year-old Luke Hill finishing just outside the medals with an 7th place in the Open 100M backstroke.
Personal best times on the day also going to all our open meet debutantes Rhys Harewood, Caitlin Richards, Grace Pritchard, Brooke O’Hanlon, Thomas Hallam, Scarlett Baxter and Tyler Dennis.
A spokesperson for the club commenting that ‘there was a great team spirit amongst the swimmers and helpers, improving every time as club takes more and more swimmers to each open meet.’
